The need for blood is constant, which is why donations are so vitally important for patients. Canadian Blood Services is encouraging eligible donors to give blood. Your support will ensure we continue to help every patient, match every need and serve every Canadian. Patients come from all walks of life and every part of Canada. Blood donations are needed for chemotherapy treatments, trauma victims, cardiac surgeries, and organ transplants – procedures that all routinely take place every day.
Every minute of every day someone in Canada needs blood. That someone may be a loved one, friend, co-worker, or perhaps even yourself.

There are many people who may not realize that they are in fact eligible to donate blood. There have been a number of changes to the donation criteria please see link provided: https://www.blood.ca/en/blood/am-i-eligible/changes-donation-criteria
If someone within your organization is ineligible to donate blood there are many ways to contribute such as advocating our cause, joining the unrelated stem cell registry, and/or organ and tissue donation registry, volunteer, or make a financial contribution.
Together, we are Canada’s lifeline.
