Tecumseh Leisure Pool Senior Swim Passes will be available for purchase as of Monday, May 1st at 10:00am.

You will receive 12 swims for $25 inc. tax. Passes can only be used for Adult Swim Lengths and Aquafit.

Register at: TecumsehRec.ca or in-person at Tecumseh Arena (12021 McNorton).

Passes will be available for pickup at Tecumseh Arena as of Thursday, May 15th between 8:30am-4:30pm.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Sport and Recreation Equipment Lending Program in partnership with the Essex County Library - Tecumseh Branch! Whether you're into pickleball, disc golf, or trying something new, you can now borrow equipment for FREE and get active in our beautiful community!

Beginning Friday, April 11th, you can stop by the library to borrow equipment including:
- Pickleball 
- Tennis
- Disc golf
- Indoor & outdoor walking poles
- Tecumseh Leisure Pool swim pass
- Tecumseh Arena skate pass

*You must have an Essex County Library Card to borrow equipment.

The St. Clair Beach Community Centre, located in Tecumseh, is now home to the Tecumseh Senior Active Living Centre, operated by Community Support Centre (CSC).  

The Senior Active Living Centre is officially open and as of January 1, 2025 there will be an annual Membership Fee of $25 to access all programming of the Tecumseh Senior Active Living Centre.

 

Community Support Centre (CSC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides programs and services for residents throughout Essex County. Services include:

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Transportation
  • Home Support
  • Foot Care

Visit the Community Support Centre to learn more about the variety of programs and services and/or to book a Foot Care Clinic appointment.

The Town offers a Snow and Leaf Angels Program (Program) for residents. The Program matches volunteers, known as Snow and Leaf Angels, from the community with residents 65 and over or persons with disabilities who live in the Town and require assistance dealing with their leaves or snow removal.

The Tecumseh Transit bus service (TTS) serves the Town of Tecumseh. Seniors can ride the bus at a reduced rate. View the transit webpage for more information. 

The Wise & Well project focuses on promoting health, wellness, and lifelong learning for older adults.

Through a variety of activities, including fitness classes, educational workshops, and wellness initiatives, Wise & Well encourages seniors to stay active, engaged, and informed. The program aims to enhance both physical and mental well-being, providing participants with the tools and resources they need to lead fulfilling, healthy lives. Thanks to funding through the Senior Community Grant, all Wise & Well programs are offered at a reduced cost.
