A key may be purchased for $26.00 plus tax which allows seasonal access (April to November) to the local tennis courts. A key allows 1 player plus 1 guest opponent entry to the court.
To purchase a key, simply complete a Court Key Agreement Form and return it to the Parks and Recreation Administration Office located within Tecumseh Recreation Complex and Arena at 12021 McNorton Street, Tecumseh, Ontario.

Please note that the Optimist Park courts are reserved Tuesday, May 7 to Friday, May 10 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM for L'Essor High School Physical Education Class. Players are directd to use the courts located at McAuliffe Park and Weston Park during this time.

The Tecumseh Pickleball Association provides organized recreational and competitive play for all skill levels. Membership fees are paid directly to the Association. Membership includes access to the courts during Organized Play hours, monthly tournaments, lessons and key to access the courts during Open Court times. Tennis & Pickleball: Terms and Conditions of Use/Court Etiquette
1. Individuals must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to purchase a key.
2. Key access to the courts is seasonal
3. A key allows 1 player plus 1 guest opponent to the court
4. The courts MUST be locked when you are finished play at all times.
5. No pets allowed in the fenced court area.
6. Play time is limited to half an hour when others are waiting.
7. Play doubles whenever possible to allow maximum number of players on the court.
8. Wear soft-soled shoes on the court.
9. Pick up after yourself and use the trash bins provided.
Our goal is to ensure the court and surface is protected. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department in the event of damage/vandalism or if the condition of the court requires attention.
The Town reserves the right to close the courts at its discretion. The Town will endeavour to provide advanced notification through social media and/or signage 48 hours prior to court closure.
Court Season is April to November, when nets are installed, and the fence lock is functional. Once nets are removed, the courts are closed for the season. Dates for season opening / closing are dependent upon weather conditions and maintenance scheduling.
