Public Notice- Application for Municipal Restructuring Proposal

At the Regular Council Meeting on April 8, 2025, at 7:00 pm, Tecumseh Town Council will be presented with a report and by-law to approve submitting an application for a Municipal Restructuring Proposal of a Lakeshore property located at 440 Brighton Road to move into the Town of Tecumseh municipal boundary. This private property is historically known as Monroe Island, located in Pike Creek immediately south of Old Tecumseh Road and east of Brighton Road in Lakeshore. This application is to formalize a municipal service agreement that has been in place with the Town since 2021. 

If you wish to appear before Council, contact the Clerk, Robert Auger, at rauger@tecumseh.ca or alternatively, submit a delegation request form available online through the Town’s website here by 12:00 pm the day prior to the meeting. By registering as a delegate, persons are consenting to their image, voice, and comments being recorded and available for public viewing on the Town’s website.

Alternatively, if you would like to submit comments regarding the report, they may be forwarded in writing by mail, e-mail, or in person to the undersigned by 12:00 pm the day prior to the meeting. Comments delivered in person can be placed in the drop box beside the front door of Town Hall. All comments received are considered public and prior to the meeting will be read aloud during the meeting.
