NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH & RECONCILIATION IN TECUMSEH
NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH & RECONCILIATION
On Friday, September 27 until September 30, Town Hall will be raising the Every Child Matters flag in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30. Town Hall will also be illuminated orange to honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
Please join us on September 30 at 10am for an Orange Shirt Memorial Walk at Lakewood Park with our Keynote Speaker Patricia Shawnoo and Tecumtha Ogitchada Society. More information can be found at tecumseh.ca.
TOWN HALL
The Town of Tecumseh offices will be closed on Monday, September 30 to reflect on the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
Payments may be dropped off at Town Hall using the secure drop box located beside the main entrance door. Please ensure information on the envelope is clearly outlined (e.g. name, address, tax roll number, application and/or other identifying details to assist staff). As an alternative, the Town’s website also offers online services and payments (www.tecumseh.ca).
TECUMSEH TRANSIT
Tecumseh Transit is still running on Monday, September 30. Information on the Town’s transit service is available on the Town’s website.
TECUMSEH ARENA & RECREATION COMPLEX
The Community and Recreation Services department will be closed on Monday, September 30 for the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
