Tecumseh Invites Residents to Name the Town’s Snowplows

Tecumseh, ON – The Town of Tecumseh is reminding residents to embrace their creativity and help name the town’s seven snowplows for the 2025/2026 winter season! Whether you enjoy puns, winter themes, or tributes to local landmarks, this is your chance to leave a lasting mark on the town’s fleet.

“We’re excited to launch the Name a Snowplow initiative this year and can’t wait to see the clever and creative submissions from our residents,” said Kirby McArdle, Manager of Public Works. “Our snowplows play a crucial role in keeping our community safe during the winter months, and this is a fun way to connect with the people we serve.”

How to Participate:

1.       Submit Your Names: Visit the Noticeboard on Placecspeak between November 25 and January 2 to share your ideas.

2.       Vote for Your Favourites: From January 3 to January 22, residents will have the opportunity to vote on the top 15 names selected by an internal committee.

3.       Winning Names Announced: The final seven names will be revealed during the January 28 Regular Council Meeting.

Contest Rules:

·         The contest is open to all Tecumseh residents.

·         Submissions must be kind, respectful, and appropriate.

·         If multiple people submit the same winning name, the prize will go to the first person who submitted it.

·         Anonymous submissions are welcome but ineligible for prizes.
