The unofficial 2022 Tecumseh Municipal & School Board election results are now available.
Ensure you are on the Voter's List
The Voters' List is a list of persons who are eligible to vote (electors) in the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections. You must be on the Voters' List to receive a Voter Information Letter containing vital information about voting using the internet or telephone. If you have not received your Voter Information Letter or need to make changes/additions to your information, you must come to Tecumseh Town Hall to fill out an EL15 form. Town Hall is open on Election Day, October 24, 2022, from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.
Voter Information Letter (VIL)
- A Voter Information Letter will be mailed to every Town of Tecumseh elector
- Provides instructions on how to vote using either the internet or telephone
- You will be provided with a Personal Identification Number (PIN)
- If you do not receive your VIL by October 14, 2022, contact the Election Hotline Number at 519-735-2743 or visit Tecumseh Town Hall.

Please note: Since the Town of Tecumseh election is being handled through Internet and Telephone Voting, no volunteers are required. If you wish to volunteer your time at the Town, please consider making application for one of our committees or local boards
Municipal elections occur every four years. The last municipal election was on Monday, October 22, 2018. The term of the current Council is from December 1, 2018 to November 14, 2022.

FAQ
A municipal election chooses city-level officials like the mayor, council and school board.
Think about all the services your municipal government is responsible for providing such as roads, public transit, water and sewers, parks and recreation.
A Voter Information Letter (VIL) will be mailed to every Town of Tecumseh elector. It will provide you with instructions on how to vote using either the internet or telephone and provide you with a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
A PIN is a Personal Identification Number. You need a PIN to vote. A Voter Information Letter (VIL) will be mailed to every Town of Tecumseh elector in early October. We encourage you not to wait until the last day of the election to contact us – please let us know as early as possible if you do not receive your VIL.
If you lose your PIN, please contact the Clerk's Office 519-735-2743 or visit the Tecumseh Town Hall.
What if I am out of town during election period?
You can still vote if you are not in Tecumseh on October 24. Voting is done online and over the phone. Just be sure you have your PIN with you while out of town!

What does School Board Support mean?
School board trustees are the members of a school board. They are locally elected representatives of the public and are the community's advocate for public education in Tecumseh.
Like municipal politicians, school board trustees are elected to four-year terms. Voters may only support one board and it must be a board they are eligible to support.
Accessible voting information centres are available for residents who prefer it.
The Town will be operating the following Voter Information Centres during the Voting Period October 14 to 24, 2022:
Tecumseh Town Hall - 917 Lesperance Road, Tecumseh, ON
Weekdays, starting Friday, October 14 to Friday, October 21, 2022 between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm
Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Monday, October 24, 2022 from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm
Maidstone Help Centre - Maidstone Recreation Centre, 10720 County Road 34, Maidstone
Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
